7 new cars that offer better leasing deals than last year

Cheaper-to-lease cars

Dealers may be eager to negotiate prices to get rid of their 2016 cars, but many 2017 cars are cheaper to lease than their 2016 counterparts are, according to a recent analysis by SwapALease.com.

Monthly lease payments are cheaper on the newest models than they are for the outgoing model year because the residual value of the car — the car’s worth at the end of the lease — is higher for the 2017 models.
